Jerry Giovannone was a big man with a big heart, so much so that Daniels’ Senior Vice President Tom Dutton composed the song He Was My Friend to celebrate his life and ensure that his memory and spirit keep “carrying on”.

This tribute is sung by Tom Dutton and Jerry’s friends at Daniels. When you purchase He Was My Friend, you’ll be donating to a cause Jerry would have valued.

To ensure that Jerry’s memory lives on, not only here at The Daniels Corporation, but through the job that he loved, an endowment fund has been created in Jerry’s name at George Brown College under the Construction and Engineering Technologies Program. The Jerry Giovannone Endowment Fund gives students a chance to follow in Jerry’s footsteps as the builders of tomorrow by providing the necessary guidance, skills and support to achieve academic success in this field.
